Nissan Leaf NISMO RC Electric Race Car

Nissan will introduce Leaf NISMO RC “Racing Competition” electric race car at the New York auto show. The Leaf NISMO RC features an 107 bhp electric motor, producing 207 lb-ft of torque. An 80% charge takes 30 minutes. But we wonder if the “RC” really stands for “Radio Controlled.” The picture looks, well, like a toy car. Plus, its 0 to 62 mph time is a high 6.85 seconds, and top speed is only 93 mph. We should find out later this week.

Dodge Avenger Rally Car

Can anything avenge The Avenger? Once a mighty coupe from the American car maker, Dodge Avenger has become a joke in the auto world. Can a rally version cure this? The Dodge Avenger Rally Car has a Brilliant Black exterior with a massive rear spoiler, lowered sport suspension and 18-inch alloy wheels with Pirelli P-Zero tires. Its cabin features carbon fiber door panels, fully programmable instrument cluster, OMP racing seats, an eight-point roll cage, and fire extinguisher. Power is provided by a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, outfitted with a cold-air intake and high performance exhaust system. This enables Avenger to produce 300 horsepower. Revenge is a dish best served through the driver’s side window.

Lexus LF-Gh

A precursor to 2012′s Lexus GS, the “Lexus Future Grand touring Hybrid” (aka – LF-Gh) is reportedly 4890mm in length by 1870mm wide, making it 40mm & 50mm larger than the GS. The concept is also said to be 1450mm in height, meaning it is another 20mm taller than the car it is replacing. It’s hybrid powertrain is based on that of the Toyota Prius.

2013 Chevrolet Malibu

Apparently, Chevrolet has no problem with spy photos for their next-generation Malibu, and will “take all the attention it can get for the new mid-sized model.”

The 2013 Chevrolet Malibu will be unveiled (officially) this week or next at the New York Auto Show. The model goes into production January, 2012 with sales starting later that year. Read more about it at Chevroletpedia.
