Every so often on Automopedia we like to geek out...and so do many of you, as apparent from our most popular blog post: 15 Sexiest Science Fiction Ships. With that – we bring to you this lovely Star Trek video compilation, which features the ever-evolving way ships in the film series go to warp. With the exclusion of Star Trek VI and Insurrection, this clip includes The USS Enterprise (refit through E and even reboot vessel) shooting off to warp speed. Why has going to warp evolved from a painstaking, dramatic process to a simple millisecond blast? Ask the film directors.
