Our Future National Lampoon’s Vacation – The Bus Hotel

In the future, we will all live in a post apocalyptic, zombie infested world where the last living male human is hunted by leather-chap wearing mutants in the desert who wish to take his Quickening. Yes, I just combined the plots of Walking Dead, Y: The Last Man, Highlander and The Mad Max Series. But that’s ok because we’ll be riding in luxury in one of Designer Aristide Antonas’ Bus Hotels. These traveling no-tell motels will help you pass through post-apocalyptic cars in Dallas and other burnt out cities infested with the undead in comfort.

Antonas, an associate professor of architecture at University of Thessaly, supplies us with his synopsis:

A 2 levels bus is transformed to a moving 7 beds hotel. A bed and breakfast space rational is installed in an existing bus structure. The bus can also be used by small commuting communities such as the professors of off town Universities.

This project reconsiders the design of an existing two floor bus. The interior space of the bus is transformed to a hostel room containing 7 beds, a water closet and a living room. The chosen vehicle could be a German bus or whatever other type of 2 floor bus with similar dimensions.

All we need are cut-outs for missile launchers and machine gun turrets. Source: Jalopnik
