St. Patrick’s Day – How To Make An Irish Car Bomb
It’s St. Patrick’s Day 2010 – and with a beautiful evening coming our way on the east coast, Automopedia thought it would be fun to do something a little auto related (surprise) – but you SHOULD NOT drink and drive at all!!! And with that disclaimer we present a classic drink: The Irish Car Bomb.
The Irish, not surprisingly, hate the term “Irish car bomb” – as it references IRA terrorists blowing up innocent civilians using car bombs during disputes between Ireland and North Ireland. But you have to admit: mixing Bailey’s and Guinness may be the smartest idea anyone ever had.
Here’s the basic recipe from idrink.com:
Ingredients to use:
1.0 pint Guinness Beer
1.0 shot Baileys Irish Cream
1.0 shot Jameson Rye/Whiskey
Directions:
Fill a pint glass 2/3 full with Guinness. Fill a double shot glass with the Bailey’s and Jameson. Drop the shot glass into the pint of Guinness, and chug.
If you really want to be brave, or die of alcohol poisoning, try an Irish Truck Bomb. Same theory and ingredients – but upgrade the glasses to a pitcher of Ale, pint of Baileys and another pint of Whiskey. Yum. Again – Automopedia DOES NOT recommend you drink and drive – tonight, or EVER.
