Talladega Finishes with Crash This Past Weekend
Who says NASCAR is boring? During the final lap at this weekend at Aaron’s 499 at Talladega Superspeedway, Carl Edwards did his Ricky Bobby impression (Aren’t you tired of hearing that by now?) as Number 99 went airborne, crashing into the fence as debris struck several fans.
No one reported serious injuries, though two women were airlifted to a nearby hospital as a precautionary measure. Edwards himself hopped from his steaming, fiery wreckage to take a jog across the finish line. Hell, if you’re going to survive a crash like that, might as well finish the race.
