LGBTQ Friendly Car Dealers via Gaywheels
Gaywheels.com recently conducted a poll, asking readers what they felt were the most and least gay/lesbian/bisexual/trans/queer friendly car companies in North America are. The results for both may be surprising, but they’ve got the stats to back it all up.

Subaru takes the cake with over 45% of the votes for most gay-friendly car company. Subaru has been recognized for its advertising and partnerships targeting the LGBT community. VW and FordĀ came in second, but not very close to good ol Subaru. Subaru may be persieved as being gay-friendly, but the make is almost absent from a list of cars owned by the LGBTQ community. Saab, Scion & Audi top the list as most purchased, with Saab being owned by 18% of gay men and 11% of gay women. The decision to purchase these makes include, according to the article: “Fuel Economy, Price, Safety Ratings, Body Style and Impact on the Environment. Gay men put their highest priority on Styling and then consider Price, Fuel Economy, Body Style and the Availability of the Latest Technology.” Another interesting find from this survey: 40% of the survey respondents that bought their vehicle new. Perhaps the automotive industry will bounce back after all.
