In Pictures – The Best DIY Vehicles

In this age of struggling automotive companies it may be best for all Americans to learn how to build their own mode of transit. These people took it amongst themselves to do just that. We’re not sure exactly how road-ready some of these vehicles are, but if they can survive the deserts of Burning Man, the wet-green hills of Vermont and the streets of Moscow, they have to be somewhat stable…right?

Moonbeam

The Moonbeam is a sort of man-made escape pod…except it’s on the ground. Does it come with a cute hippie girl as pictured below?

Homemade Ariel Atom

Some guy out in the desert built his own 0 to 60 mph in 4 seconds Ariel Atom. We’re giving him 6 months to break that record down to 3.5, then we’re going to build our own!
