And it’s here today! In fact, you can even order one from Sam’s Club today. Husqvarna’s Automower is a solar powered and zero-emission lawnmower, that offers relaxation while your outdoor chores are being done…for a price.
All you have to do is bury a wire perimeter (so robo-mower doesn’t head into your neighbor’s lawn) and set your preferred length. Now sit your mower on the ground and it will regularly maintain the lawn to that height every week, or however often you prefer. Solar panels allow it to charge on sunny days, cutting up to a quarter an acre of cutting for each 10 hours or charging. And, since it’s basically an electric mower, there’s zero emissions!
