10 Hottest James Bond Cars
With James Bond: Quantum of Solace dropping next week, Automopedia though we’d take a look back at some of the hottest (and strangest) vehicles old school tech head Q has outfitted with sonar, missiles and machine guns for Special Agent 007. We like our Aston Martin’s driven, not stirred.
Aston Martin DB5

Bond’s DB5 has been featured in almost every of these Ian Flemming adapted films since Dr. No. Just like Bond, this Aston Martin only gets better with age.
1969 Ford Cougar

Featured in Her Magesty’s Secret Service, this Ford Cougar (better known as a Mercury in the States) is driven by one of 007’s many female accomplishments.
Aston Martin DBS

Bond’s car from Her Magesty’s Secret Service was an attempt to update (not replace) the original Aston. But there can be only one when it comes to Aston Martin DB’s in the world of Bond.
1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1

Featured in Diamonds Are Forever, the Mustang Mach 1 was another ride for the Bond Girls. Guess they won’t let JB drive any American made automobiles.
Lotus Esprit

When 007 needed to evade bad guys by land and sea in The Spy Who Loved Me this Lotus Esprit did the job by switching to submarine mode.
Hovercraft Speedboat

In the 1970’s pretty much any TV/Film super spy had some sort of hovercraft – they were the hip thing to do we suppose. Of course, James Bond won’t take any old hovercraft – his needs it to be a speedboat as well.
Aston Martin V8

Yet another attempt at updating Bond’s original DB5, The Living Daylights brought us Aston Martin’s V8. Still a flashy car for the 1980’s, it may not stack up visually to the original but contains some of Britain’s latest crime fighting technology (Insert dentistry joke here).
BMW Z8

When Bond needed an upgrade for the 21st century, MI6 and Q introduced a powerful BMW coupe, armed from bumper to bumper. The World may not be enough, but a small BMW works for 007.
Ice Dragster

Certainly one of the oddest vehicles ever features in a Jame Bond film, the Ice Dragster from Die Another Day makes a wonderful escape pod when trapped in the Arctic.
Aston Martin DBS V12

Ok, we’re not too fond of a few of Bond’s other Aston Martin “replacements” but the DBS V12 from Casino Royale would cause anyone think twice.

Bond drives a Ford in Casino Royale.
Awesome Aston Martin DBS V12
@b no, actually he drove the Aston Martin in Casino Royale.
Check Aston Martin
Umm actually he drove both….
Actually, he drives a Ford Mondeo in Casino Royale when he first arrives in the Bahamas.

Ha! Ironic picture of the Aston Martin V8 in front of a Vienna street car (originally designed my Ferry Porsche).
Whether Bond drove Ford or Aston martin in casino royale doesn’t matter much but this DBS V12 is awesome and breath taking. I am sure all would love to ride it.
