"Hey, does anyone remember a scifi series from the 70?s about a blond haired guy in a silver car? Not saying the car was that fantastic, but the series made an impression. think the main character was called stryker."

You must be referring to Gerry Anderson's (Stingray, Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet etc.) live-action series "UFO". It concerned an organisation called SHADO whose job it was to protect Earth from an alien invasion. SHADO's chief was Commander Ed Straker; he had blond hair and drove a silver sports coupé designed especially for the series. In fact, two were built, Straker's silver one and a red one driven by the character Colonel Paul Foster. Most of the other vehicles in the series were scale models, cleverly filmed in real-time against realistic miniature sets. They included SHADO Mobiles (tanks), UFOs, SHADO spacecraft and aircraft, and a remarkable submarine called the SkyDiver whose nose could be detached and used as a fighter plane.

Where's the car that "started it all"? Sean Connery's Aston Martin DB-5? Machine guns, smoke screen, tire rippers, bullet proof shield, ejection seat, and rotating license plates.
